Personal health and safety when attending a Phoenix Desert AP Summer Institute are a cooperative effort between the directors and the participants. We follow the latest advice from the Center for Disease Control and the office of the State of Arizona. Masks are highly encouraged but not required unless the individual has been exposed to a possibly contagious situation within 3 days of the Institute. You are therefore required to notify the Directors immediately of your exposure and reveal any testing data available which can assist in the analysis of the situation. The Directors will weigh all the information and determine the appropriate course of action. The final determination will be made with the following guiding principle: what is best for the individual and the collective health and safety of everyone else at the Institute. If you have tested positively for Covid within 1-3 days of the institute, please contact the Directors immediately to discuss options for attendance virtually.

The Institute will have masks available on request and the rooms will be thoroughly sanitized every day. All participants and staff will be advised to follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control.
